Hello there fellow members of mR. I have noticed that for the past couple days i have found my self always either eating a bowl of lumpy oatmeal while endlessly crying or sitting infront of the TV watching chick flick dramas while being covered in snotty tissues. I decided to go to the doctor expecting him to diagnose me with depression. But instead he told me I had Olympic fever. A disease that many foolish doctors diagnose depression. He told me the only cure was to review and celebrate the past Olympics. I figured it all made sense, the Olympics just ended and I enjoy endlessly watching the Olympics, last Olympics in my hometown of Vacouver I was also diagnosed with depression.
So I made this thread for everyone to celebrate the past Olympic moments and share to moments that you find the most special

Lets face it, these Olympics were the worst there's been in years.
The opening ceremony consisted of people moving around multiple smokestacks in the middle of the stadium.
And the closing ceremony just had a bunch of terrible singers, and that's it.

I think the Olympics were fairly cool this year. It's not fair to call them bad because they featured a culture foreign to yours. After all, that's the whole point for the country hosting the Olympics; to show off something unique that identifies who they are to the global community.
Besides, that tech demonstration with "James Bond" and HM Elizabeth II was pretty sweet.
My favorite events were probably the 400m baton race with Jamaica and the USA on a close edge. Gymnastics were pretty sweet this year as well; lots of tight, on the edge pressure. Mckayla Maroney, Usain Bolt, and the Phelps vs. Lochte moments were all pretty cool as well.
As usual, another great Olympics Ceremony; can't wait to see next years!
tl;dr Hater's gonna hate, fine african gentlemen run fast, Phelps swims, Mckayla is not impressed

The Olympics were ok however. NBC (National Broadcasting Channel) refused to broadcast anything live. They made almost everything recorded with having to cut tiny parts of it so they could put alot of commercials. In the end NBC made it unwatched with constant lag and serious artifact on the screen every time you watch a sport recorded. They were pretty bias also and only showed the same sports and none of the other sports when it was the time the event occurred live.

Don't be such a downer, Craig, it was fun - the opening ceremony was great, as were the games themselves. And I thought we did pretty damn well to get to third place overall, but the olympic committee needs to be sacked for screwing with the whole thing.

Child please America won the most medals. Which is ironic because everyone says "ITS MERICA" "YOU R OB3SE!". The opening was cool with some parts, I'm a sucker for James Bond even though Daniel Craig is well not Sean Connery, and who doesn't love the Spice Girls? :P
